Your Portrait Experience | Denver, CO
Every session here begins quietly. Before logistics, before outfits, before photographs — there’s presence.
These are the questions I’m asked most by women stepping into their portrait experience.
before you begin…
-
PERFECT! That’s exactly who this is for. The woman who’s finally ready to show up for herself, no filter, no pressure, just truth.
-
Absolutely! In fact, I cater to everyday women, career women, moms, grandmothers, wives, artists, musicians, lawyers, and entrepreneurs. And just like you, at one point they looked at the photos on my website and thought I don’t know that mine will turn out that good.
We aim to transform the way you see yourself. We all go through different phases of life and sometime we lose sight of who we are or want to be so I am here to help you see that person.
You don't have to know what you are doing; all you have to do is show up. It is my job to guide you, and I will direct you every step of the way; from helping you prepare for your photoshoot with wardrobe tips to guiding you through the photo session.
-
First of, I always say there is no such thing as being photogenic. It is not something magic you are born with. It is about being guided into what works for you and to feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. That is where I come in to create that space for you and to guide you into what works for you to make you look your best.
It's not your job to be 'photogenic' or 'good in front of a camera’. It's my job to guide you through your entire photo shoot and to show you the most beautiful photos you have ever seen of yourself.
-
Absolutely! In fact, this experience isn’t about feeling sexy - it’s about feeling SEEN. And I’ll be right there to guide you through every step.
-
To be fare to all paying clients and to give everyone equal service and attention that they deserve, I take on limited clients per month (max 6) so the earlier you book the better. That way you have more time to take advantage of the payment options and to plan further ahead for your session.
-
I am currently booking 1 month out but can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests.
If your have a specific deadline, please contact me so we can work out a plan for you. On average the process from start to finish can take about 6 weeks, depending on the products we order.
Please contact me and we can figure something out.
-
I recommend booking between 27 - 34 weeks of pregnancy although I have done all the way up to 38 weeks of pregnancy. It all depends how you feel and we’ll work with your mobility when the time comes in terms of positions etc if you’d rather wait. With multiples you may opt to come in even earlier since you may be bigger. But we can always get on a call in discuss how you feel.

Yes, I do accept credit cards.

Yes. Payment plans are available and typically structured in 3–4 equal payments, with plans completed before your session date.
Many clients choose to begin planning months in advance so the experience feels easeful and well-supported.
-
If someone else is financially responsible for paying for you, they need to be present at the pre-session consultation. Ideally they need to be on the first call/zoom meeting so we can make sure they are educated about the pricing.
-
Yes, gift cards make an excellent gift. Contact me for more details.
-
You’ll choose your collection during your reveal appointment, after you’ve seen your images. I’ll guide you through the options so nothing feels overwhelming or rushed. If you opt for a pre-payment plan, a collection will be selected beforehand to start the payments.
before the session
-
Simply go here - you can either book a free consultation to ask more questions and book on the call, or book right there and then.
-
During the pre-shoot wardrobe and design consultation to go over what to bring and design finer details of your session so that you are truly prepared for your session.
About the Session
-
Yes, I love the control of lighting in studio and we can create some amazing portraits there without the distraction of natural elements, wind and weather. The studio is located in South Metro Denver.
-
Sessions take place at a variety of partner studios in the South Metro Denver area - Littleton / Centennial.
We’ll go over all the options during your consultation to ensure the location feels perfect for you.
-
Professional hair and makeup service is included in sessions as a complimentary offering. If you, however, feel more comfortable doing your own and have someone you’d like to use, you can absolutely do that. We will talk more about that during the consultation call.
-
We offer sessions from Monday to Friday so we can rest and restore energy and spend time with family over the weekend. Weekends are by request only if you really cannot take time out during the week.
-
Once you are booked, you’ll receive a prep and style guide to help you decide what to bring and we’ll discuss wardrobe during out pre-session consultation as well.
Not sure what you’d even wear to a boudoir session? Start with my free guide: 3 Unconventional Outfits That Aren’t Lingerie.
-
We keep editing to the minimum, unless it is a full-on creative/artistic piece which may require more on my part but general portraits are minimal.
I’ll remove anything that will be gone in a week like a pimple or bruise but scars I’ll discuss during the ordering appointment. Scars tell your story but if you really want something removed we can talk about it.
While we firmly believe that your stretch marks and wrinkles are a part of your story and therefore beautiful, we also understand many women’s aversion to their own. Our standard skin smoothing process will fade the appearance of stretch marks and wrinkles. My post-processing techniques are more focused on contrast, skin smoothing, sharpening, creative color choices or creating black and white images rather than body morphing. I will always correct anything that you mention you want to be corrected or anything that I think you would not like. We WILL edit out blemishes/skin flaws, whiten teeth and brighten eyes, and fix wispy hair.
-
During our consultations, we will discuss the overall look we want to achieve during your session which will lead to discussing what you’ll wear, how we’ll do your hair and makeup, and whether or not you should bring any props or accessories to personalize your portraits.
Once you have booked you’ll receive a prep guide on how you can prepare weeks leading up to your session with step-by-step instructions for each day.
-
With hair and makeup, sessions are about 3 hours long. The actual photoshoot part is about 1.5 hours, which gives us time for changing outfits and variety in your gallery.
-
Of course, not everyone is an experienced model and I give guidance on natural poses and expressions throughout the session.
Portraying emotion to create authentic portraits is crucial so if that means getting the nerves out at the start with some breathing or even dancing, laughing, crying, or whatever it takes. Soon you’ll feel totally relaxed and that is the exciting part.
-
With a typical session being an hour, we’ll have time for around 1-2 outfits. You can also opt to add on additional studio time during booking. Book your session now.
We also have a studio wardrobe and sometimes something may catch your eye and we can add another look with one of those outfits.
-
Even though your skin is your best ‘outfit’, we’ll discuss wardrobe and styling during your complimentary consultation. I have several items to borrow at the studio as well and I have a guide to prepare you before your arrival for your session too.
After the session
-
After your session, you can relax, and I’ll get started on getting your gallery together. We’ll arrange a private viewing time about a week later - or when convenient for both of us.
-
After the gallery reveal/ordering appointment, I’ll do final edits on your selected images and get products such as albums ready for production. which takes about 2 weeks. After approval and ordering, the products usually arrive in about 4-6 weeks.
-
You will view a gallery of about 100 images during your gallery reveal/ordering appointment. Don’t worry, I will help with your selection if you need it and can advise on editing or image choices especially for wall art or albums.
-
I have found that it is much better to go through the galleries in person. That way we stay on schedule for getting you your images and we can discuss any editing that you’d like me to do to the images. You are welcome to bring anyone along that can help you make decisions and in fact, anyone financially responsible needs to be there as well.
-
I do responsible retouching on all final selected images.
This means I’ll clean-up backgrounds and remove temporary blemishes such as bruises, scrapes, and pimples.
We will discuss any further edits during the design consultation.
Products
-
I do offer a digital-only collection if you prefer that.
You do, however, get the corresponding digital images of what you choose to purchase at the ordering session. The printed products are just the cherry on top, a complimentary bonus.
-
I offer to complete the process as an artist for my clients in handing them a final quality product in their hands that they can enjoy every day and that becomes family heirlooms and keepsakes. I cannot guarantee printing and colors like when I use my trusted, professional printing labs.
Most of my physical products are handmade in Italy.
My collections come with either an album or matted prints stored in a box handmade in Italy and made of Italian leather. This product is capable of turning a box of pictures into a frame where subjects can be changed at will because the top of the box is non-scratch glass so that the top image can be displayed. Each box is handmade by a skilled craftsman and is enriched by high-quality materials, such as authentic Italian leather.
*The corresponding digital files are included with every purchase.
*Available sizes are 8x10 and 11x14. This includes the mat.
My Wall Art Options are as follows:
* Framed, hand-painted museum-quality canvas (made in Oregon, USA)
* The 9UP - This is one professional Wall Art Piece that contains 9 images sized at 5x7 and matted in a grid layout. This is meant to be framed with the average size being 27.5 inches x 31.5 inches. Every 9UP gives life to our subjects, like frames in a movie, helping us to showcase our client’s different attributes.
* Metal Prints - The sleek surface represents an incredible substrate where colors are infused by sublimation, creating a vibrant, dramatic result. Encapsulated in the aluminum plate, this printing technology produces the most durable, anti-scratch, water-proof solution for home decór.
* Mounted Fine Art Prints. Great if you already have frames you want to use
* Framed Prints (made in Tennesee, USA)
-
Yes! Every image you purchase come with prints and the corresponding digital files.
-
I would LOVE to use images from our session together to show other women your amazing photos! However, I also completely understand if you are uncomfortable sharing them. I will honor whatever level of privacy you would like. Many clients are so proud of their images that they give me full discretion to choose images for my portfolio. Just let me know where you stand on the topic and I will honor your wishes!
-
Nothing. It is the same thing meaning one jpeg image.
-
All the images selected for albums will be sized for web sharing but you can safely print it up to 5×7 size.
With wall art you’ll the size you purchase during your ordering appointment ie. 16x24 wall art will receive an image file at that size.
Please note that printing outside of the lab services offered through us is not guaranteed. An online printing service is offered if you want quality printing from one of my printing companies.
-
I do have a digital collection if you only want that.
I absolutely understand the appeal of just having the digital files, however, I believe your portraits deserve to live beyond a screen, which is why I offer luxury products like handcrafted albums and wall art that include the matching digital files.
The value lies in the image itself, so there really is not much difference in price from digital to actually have a beautiful album in your hands to keep forever.
If you’re still unsure, that’s okay. Most people are when they reach this point. Curiosity is enough to begin.
