you don’t have to be ready…
For years as a Denver boudoir photographer, I thought the biggest thing holding women back from booking a session was fear of being photographed.
But honestly?
I don’t think that’s it anymore.
I think what really stops women is the belief that they need to become someone else first.
More confident.
More comfortable in their body.
Less awkward.
More “put together.”
More worthy of being seen.
So many women reach out wanting to book a boudoir session in Denver or a portrait experience for themselves… and then quietly disappear because they convince themselves they aren’t quite ready yet.
And I understand that feeling more than you know.
That’s exactly why I decided to relaunch the Just Me Project.
A softer, simpler approach to boudoir photography and intimate portrait photography for women who have been curious about doing a session, but feel intimidated by the idea of a full luxury experience.
This project is different.
No elaborate prep.
No pressure to perform.
No expectation to already feel confident.
Just a quiet, guided experience where you get to show up exactly as you are.
No shopping for outfits if you don’t want to.
No pressure to know how to pose.
No need to become a “better version” of yourself before stepping in front of the camera.
You simply arrive.
And honestly? That’s where the magic usually begins.
As a Colorado boudoir photographer, I’ve watched so many women walk into the studio nervous, apologizing for themselves before we even begin.
“I’m awkward in photos.”
“I don’t know why I booked this.”
“I almost canceled.”
And then somewhere in the middle of the session, something shifts.
Not because they suddenly became more beautiful or more worthy.
But because for the first time in a long time, they allowed themselves to exist without constantly trying to fix themselves first.
That’s the heart behind this project.
Not transformation.
Not perfection.
Not becoming someone new.
Just reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels honest.
The Just Me Project is designed to be a lower-pressure starting point for women interested in empowerment photography in Denver, Colorado, especially those who have always wanted to do this, but felt like they needed to wait until they were “ready.”
Maybe you don’t need to feel fully confident first.
Maybe you just need a softer place to begin.
