The Velvet Paw

Fine Art Portraits for the Ones Who Leave Paw Prints on Your Heart

They won't be with us forever. But the feeling of them can be.

The way they greet you at the door. The ridiculous sleeping positions. The muddy paws. The quiet companionship. The personality that somehow fills an entire room.

Your pet is part of your story. I create fine art portraits designed to preserve that story—and give it a place in your home.

The Experience

01 Consultation

We talk about your pet, your home, your vision for the artwork, and what you want the finished portraits to feel like.

02 Portrait Session

I photograph your pet in a relaxed, guided environment, allowing plenty of time for them to settle in and show me who they are.

03 Image Reveal

We meet privately to see your portraits for the first time and decide which images belong in your home.

04 Artwork

I help you design finished artwork that fits your space and your story.

FAQs

Do you travel?

1

Yes. I photograph interiors throughout the Denver metro area and Colorado. Travel outside my local service area is available and may include a travel fee depending on location.

How long is a session?

2

Most projects take 2–4 hours, depending on the size and complexity of the space. Larger homes or projects requiring multiple rooms and detailed styling may require additional time. I’ll recommend the appropriate amount of time when we plan your shoot.

Do you photograph occupied homes

3

Absolutely. A home doesn't need to be empty or professionally staged for me to photograph it. I'll work with you to prepare and style the space as needed before we begin, and I'll photograph it in a way that feels polished and intentional.

Are licensing options available for commercial use?

4

Yes. Commercial licensing is available for interior designers, builders, architects, hospitality businesses, and other businesses using the images for marketing and promotional purposes. Licensing is tailored to how and where the images will be used and is discussed before your project is photographed.

What should I do to prepare my space?

5

Don't worry—I’ll guide you. Before your shoot, I'll provide a preparation checklist with suggestions for decluttering, styling, lighting, and finishing touches. On the day of the shoot, I'll also make small adjustments to help each room photograph beautifully.

Do you work with interior designers and builders?

6

Yes. I work with designers, builders, remodelers, architects, and other professionals who need beautiful imagery to showcase their work. Whether you need photographs for your portfolio, website, social media, publication submissions, or marketing materials, I'll create a cohesive collection of images that tells the story of the space.
